Privacy notice

This notice explains how TED5 handles personal information collected through ted5.com.au and when you contact us. TED5 operates this service (ABN 39 926 306 766). In this notice, "we" and "us" mean TED5.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, by our website form or by email, we collect the information you choose to give us. That normally includes:

  • your name and email address;
  • whether you are enquiring as an individual or for a business;
  • the service you're interested in and a description of what you need; and
  • a website or store address, if you provide one.

If you become a client, we also collect the information needed to scope, deliver and invoice the agreed service.

Please don't send us passwords, API keys, access tokens, payment card or bank details, or sensitive documents through the enquiry form or by email. If a service needs access to one of your accounts, we'll explain how to grant limited access through that platform's own permissions, which you can remove at any time.

Why we collect it

We use your information to:

  • reply to your enquiry and prepare a written scope and quote;
  • deliver, support and invoice a service you've agreed to;
  • keep records we need for business, tax and legal purposes; and
  • improve our website and services.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Use of AI tools

We use AI tools to help with drafting, organising and checking work. When delivering a service, information you provide may be processed by those tools to the extent needed for the agreed work. A person reviews the work, and we don't use AI tools to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed to run our business and deliver services — for example, with providers of our website hosting, email and the software tools we use to do the work, and with professional advisers. We may also disclose information where the law requires or permits it.

Some of these providers may store or process information outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is handled consistently with Australian privacy law.

Keeping it secure

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access or disclosure. We keep information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this notice or as required by law, and then delete or de-identify it.

Access and correction

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@ted5.com.au. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

Questions and complaints

If you have a question or concern about how we've handled your personal information, email info@ted5.com.au. We'll look into it and reply in writing. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
